Mid-century Lava flower vase produced by Marei Keramik in Rheinbach, Germany in 1970. This piece has a deep scarlet, black and aqua blue textured glaze. This is a stunning vase of high quality. In 1949, Josef Emons and Jean Fuss parted and the Fuss and Emons factory was split in two. J Emons Söhne formed ES keramik and Jean Fuss launched Majolikafabrik Rheinbach which was abbreviated to Marei Keramik and based in Rheinbach in Germany. It ceased production in approximately 2016. Simple and modernist design of the 1970's design era. This vase is super rare and very collectible, with hair line crack in the upper part.
