We’re delighted to announce our latest collaboration with the Serpentine Galleries, London. The launch of two exclusive scarves celebrate the new exhibition, "Christo and Jeanne-Claude: Barrels and The Mastaba 1958–2018” which runs from 19th June - 9th September 2018 in the Serpentine Gallery.
"The Mastaba is a monumental expression of geometry and colour. I wanted to capture this in its purest sense to reflect Christo's artistic ambition", explains Jane Carr, Creative Director.
The exhibition coincides with the unveiling of The London Mastaba - a sculpture comprised of horizontally stacked, coloured barrels on a floating platform on Serpentine Lake, Hyde Park. This is Christo’s first outdoor, public work in the UK, and his second project with Serpentine Galleries.
To commemorate Christo’s awe-inspiring intervention and inspired by preparatory drawings of The Mastaba, the two scarves are available to buy at Serpentine Galleries stores for the duration of the exhibition; a pure silk twill foulard and a classic stole in a cashmere and wool blend. Both styles are printed and hand-finished in our historic mills in Como, Italy, home of world-class, luxury printing and the finest manufacturing traditions.
