The basket bag is an essential all summer long, and this one’s classic style and roomy interior make it versatile for any occasion. Use it on shopping trips, holidays or to give your commute a sense of summertime.
It has been handwoven from the highly durable and versatile sisal plant which grows in Kenya's dry soil, where no chemical fertilisers are used.
The long handles make it easy to carry on your shoulder. They are made from locally sourced leather which has been vegetable tanned - a process that uses organic materials and natural tannins derived from the bark, leaves and branches of trees and plants.
Each Mifuko product is unique and carries the name of its maker. As this basket is handmade the size and shape may vary.
Sisal may feel rough at first but will soften with use. Products made of sisal are not afraid of a little water, but do not soak them. You can clean them with a damp cloth or rinse with water, but do not scrub the surface, machine wash, spin dry or tumble dry. Allow to dry in a warm place, but not in direct sunlight.
