These stunning woven placemats are made by artisans in Colombia. The leaves of the Toquila palm have been dyed and intricately interwoven to form the placemat, finished with a playful red lobster.
For decades, artisan communities in the region have preserved this art of weaving Toquilla palm. Each piece is unique and made entirely by hand from natural materials. This means slight differences in colour, size and shape are to be expected, and are part of the hand-made nature.
Coro Cora was founded by mother-daughter duo Maria and Laura in Bogota, Colombia. They work directly with weaving cooperatives around Colombia to create beautiful, unique tabletop, accessories and homeware that celebrate the vibrancy and craftsmanship of their country.
