Our latest collaboration marks the highly anticipated re-opening of The Fife Arms, Braemar, located in the heart of The Cairngorms National Park, Scotland. Set to be the luxury hotel destination of 2019, The Fife Arms was formally re-opened by TRH The Duke of Rothesay and Duchess of Rothesay. Jane had the honour of attending the event and presenting the capsule collection of limited edition scarves to the Royals, which are now available to buy exclusively at the hotel’s boutique.
The collection is comprised of two limited-edition designs, The Fife Arms Hotel and The Fife Antique, featuring vintage imagery of the hotel (which dates back to 1856) and surrounding areas. The Fife Antique design is framed with the hotel’s bespoke tartan. Both are available as a silk twill foulard and silk/cotton blend neckerchief.
The scarves are hand-finished in historic mills in Como, Italy, home of world-class, luxury printing and the finest manufacturing traditions. Each is presented in hand-made, branded, tartan gift boxes - a beautiful souvenir from what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable stay.
Swiss art gallerists Iwan and Manuela Wirth had a unique vision for the renovation of the hotel, set in the breathtakingly idyllic Scottish countryside, where contemporary art complements fine, traditional Scottish craftsmanship. Floor-to-ceiling murals by Zhang Enli (you can discover our collaboration with the artist here) and Guillermo Kuitca and an awe-inspiring glass chandelier by Richard Jackson create a dynamic juxtaposition between old and new. Each of the 46 luxury bedrooms and suites, thought up by interior designer Russell Sage, are decorated and furnished to tell a story, whether it be a celebration of a local place, event or notable person with a connection to the area.
