Zhang Enli has been named The Royal Academy's artist-in-residence for August and September and is set to transform the RA’s Life Room on Piccadilly with a series of new paintings and an on-site installation. Zhang is known for his immersive space paintings and work that spans everyday objects, municipal structures on the streets of Shanghai and dream-like natural forms. The latter inspired our recent collaboration with the artist and his gallery representation in London Hauser & Wirth, where three of his works were transformed into a capsule collection of scarves and pocket squares.
